One of our clients, a multi-national company based in Sydney, Australia is building up a branch in Pretoria, South Africa.

The company is a business solutions agency that provides support to some of the most innovative creatives and emerging companies across various industries.

There is an option for remote work (with agreed terms to be discussed with the employer)  or you will be based at their offices in Pretoria.

Job description

The Web Designer will be working their client’s websites, landing pages, branding and sales funnels.

The role is varied and dynamic, with some scope to be moulded around your skills, experience and interests, but here is what you will typically be working on:

• Design user friendly and responsive websites
• Building staging websites
• Migrating and launching websites
• Manage hosting services, domains and SSL

• Maintain and update websites
• Keep up to date on latest SEO & SEM strategies and trends and implement as appropriate.
• Build landing  pages and sales pages on various platforms (Kartra / LeadPages / WordPress, etc) and integrate with other applications to complete the sales funnel
• Create custom HTML/CSS forms in Dubsado
• Create HTML email signatures
• Manage projects, timelines and revisions to meet agency and client requirements and deadlines as well as budget
• Assist with brand development and graphic design projects (depending on the successful candidate’s skillset)

• 3+ years in a relevant role
• Graphic / Web Design diploma / degree.
• Solid WordPress knowledge and experience
• Comfortable using visual page builders like Oxygen, Divi, Elementor, WPBakery etc
• Working with 3rd party plug-ins and integrations
• Be able to code in at least HTML, CSS and JavaScript, in a way that is concise and reusable
• Experience in WooCommerce
• Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite – Especially XD, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat.
• Solid experience in responsive web design
• Solid knowledge of web / domains / DNS etc
• Have strong knowledge of SEO or a willingness and interest to learn
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
• UI / UX experience
• Strong knowledge of web security best practice
• Knowledge of current Web Accessibility Standards
