We require the service of an experienced Server & Technical specialist to provide assistance and maintenance on all computer systems and hardware. 

The Role

As Server & Technical specialist your role would be to maintain systems by installing, updating, and configuring. Daily challenges to equipment and systems need to be addressed in an efficient manner to limit and reduce down time.

Key areas of responsibility

• Server management, installation upgrading and maintenance.
• Active directory maintenance and management.
• Manage and report on root cause analysis for faults with remedial action.
• Assist support staff on complex technical issues.
• Setup monitoring software for performance on servers to do preventative maintenance.
• Define and maintain a patch management policy.
• Secure server environments by creating documented polices with procedures, implementation, and the monitoring thereof.
• Extensive experience with Hyper-V replication, Veeam backup and replication.

• Strong skills for daily operational challenges and the
• Management of assets, asset replacement, lease agreements and support contracts.
• Steer and administer the cloud migration process with cost projections, planning, and implementation.
• Budget planning and control looking at licensing and assets.
• Maintain vendor and supplier relations.

• Microsoft certifications
• Security certifications
• Skills with ManageEngine range of products.
• JIRA for change management
• Understanding of SQL backups
• Microsoft Azure experience
