Job Summary
The System Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining system stability, performance, and scalability. This position combines system operations, quality assurance, data analysis, and process optimization. The role supports both technical system health and business decision-making through data insights, while driving continuous improvement across processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Operations & Quality Assurance
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability; proactively resolve issues
- Conduct and manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA)
- Review and improve QA test cases and validate system requirements
- Manage system deployments, updates, and rollouts with proper fallback procedures
- Coordinate with developers and support teams to resolve system issues
- Maintain secure data backup and recovery processes
- Ensure system compliance with internal and external standards
- Support internal stakeholders with technical queries and issue resolution
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation and configurations
- Contribute to system scalability as business needs grow
Data Management & Reporting
- Query databases using SQL to extract and analyze data
- Support stakeholders with data insights and reporting requirements
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
- Deliver timely, actionable reports to support decision-making
- Document SQL scripts, reporting processes, and data structures
- Support master data management and data cleanup initiatives
Business Process Analysis & Optimization
- Analyze current processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Document system and business requirements
- Design optimized workflows aligned with business objectives
- Implement efficiency improvements across systems and processes
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and system logic

Minimum Requirements
- Strong SQL experience with ability to query and manipulate large datasets
- Solid understanding of relational databases
- Experience with UAT and QA processes
- Ability to produce clear technical and process documentation

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of transactional or accounting data (advantageous)
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–4 years’ relevant experience in systems, data, or QA roles
- Experience with SQL Server Management Studio or similar RDBMS tools
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with process modeling methodologies (e.g., BPMN 2.0)
- Understanding of UML (ERDs, class diagrams)
- Exposure to production monitoring and incident response
